Back to the roots – XCO Baia Sprie

POZA 1In the midst of preparation for Easter, on Saturday 04/05/2013, three members of Ideal Geiger Team represented our team colours in a Cross-Country race, organized by the Club Garage Racing near Baia Sprie.

We knew that we will enjoy a technical route, interestingly, that will keep us „awake” from the start whistle to the 6th cross of the finish line. It was raining the night before the race but just to cool the atmosphere, also improving the grip on the dusty track. Single-trail sections were spiced with short and twisty ascents and descents giving the riders the feeling of being in a roller coaster.

POZA 2The 3.8 km long circuit was completed six times in less than 15 minutes / lap, average obtained by the first two riders: Tudor Radu – 1st place, Lucian Logigan – 2nd place. It was a tight race between the two Ideal Race Pro Team bikes, 26 ‘vs. 29’, the small time difference between the two proving that both versions are suitable even for more technical trails. Cristian Losonczi finished the race in 5th place, being surpassed by Miron Elisei – 4th place and Dobai Robert – 3rd place. Full list of results and times obtained can be checked .

Our team will line up next Sunday at the start of a competition totally different from the one mentioned in the lines above – Prima Evadare – a fast race through the forests near Bucharest.

Continue reading
